Jakarta Future School has designed its Lower Secondary (Grade 7 and 8) curriculum to be engaging and fun as well as academically rigorous. It is designed to meet the needs of early adolescents as they transition from primary education to secondary education. The Cambridge Checkpoint curriculum offers an accessible challenge for children aged 11-13, though younger and older children may also study at this level. We encourage them to become more independent in their learning. The courses are designed for children to follow the instructions and to develop their independence and confidence.
At Lower Secondary, all children are expected to study three core subjects: English, Mathematics and Science. In addition, children will also learn Geography and Computing in order to experience a balanced curriculum.
We warmly encourage your child to participate in our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and regular student competitions. Please click the link here for more information.
We also provide progress reports for all subjects every semester and at the end of Years 7 and 8.
