What do we offer?
The Jakarta Future School online program is a carefully balanced mix of online and offline study which we have developed based on our many years’ experience of providing the Cambridge Courses for students in Indonesia. The IGCSE developed by Cambridge International Examination (CIE) is an internationally recognized qualification adopted by an increasing number of independent schools across the world and can offer progression to ‘A’ Levels or other further education courses.
Jakarta Future School is run by our energetic and enthusiastic Cambridge Certified Teachers. Students can study independently with the guidance of our dedicated teacher support and view all weekly lessons in our archive when they missed any lessons. It is an online self-paced learning, aligned with the time line provided for assessments and submissions.
How do you study?
Students can log on and join the virtual class with our teachers on a regular basis. Lessons are recorded, so that students can access them if they have missed a live session. They will learn 75% online via our customized MySecondTeacher (MST) and Microsoft Team portals and 25% via face to face online. Our education portals contain a fun and interactive learning experience with informative videos and engaging simulations. It has the ability to co-monitor student progress in the platform with data-tracking to help them stay on track. In addition to that, our face to face online lessons are to be conducted on a weekly basis (Monday – Friday) or a total of 4 hours for each subject on a monthly basis.
The entire course for Lower Secondary based on the Cambridge Check Point (Grade 7 and 8) will be two years, divided into 8 terms of 2.5 months or 11 weeks each year. The same duration will apply to IGCSE (Grade 9 and 10) and A Levels (Grade 11 and 12). The schedule is flexible to allow students to learn at their own pace, whether they are fast-tracking their course to meet university deadlines or taking it slow to fit around their family, work or other studies. Students can learn from anywhere, set their own schedule, and get help whenever they need it from our center.
What are the outcomes?
When students study online with us, they will sit the same exams at the same time as all the other high school students in Indonesia, and they will achieve the exact same results, transcript, and IGCSE/AS/A-Levels qualification that they’d get if they studied in regular international schools.
Upon completion of our IGCSE online program, students can either opt for our A levels Online program or Pre-University (Foundation Program) at Raffles College which will prepare them for university, grounding them in the fundamentals in business studies and preparing them to meet challenges ahead. Our Pre-University Foundation modules are not only aimed at imparting knowledge, but also at developing students’ skills set, confidence, character and integrity, providing students with the best possible head start in their university life.
